Instructions for using Quest

As an applicant to UW, or a UW student, you'll use Quest to

view the status of your application
select your classes
view your tuition fees and residence fees, if applicable
view your financial aid, if applicable
update your contact information
view your marks
and more

Logging in to Quest

Before you can log in to Quest, you'll need to activate your UW user ID and password. Read the information for first-time users on the Quest login page for details.

Important: If you've been admitted to UW for the fall 2009 term, you can select your courses beginning on July 13, 2009. Even if you have already activated your user ID and password or if you activate them before July 13, 2009, you will not be able to select courses until that date.

Selecting your classes

Whether you choose your classes yourself depends on your program. Read the class selection process information on the next step website for details.

Once you've determined whether you need to choose your classes yourself, download and follow the Step-by-Step Instructions for selecting your classes. Note that these instructions will be available after June 15th.

In some cases, you'll also receive further instructions after you've been admitted to the University and accepted your Offer of Admission.

Transfer students

If you're transferring from college or university, you'll need to know which transfer credits you've received before you can select your classes.
- Contact your faculty advisor.
You may also wish to review UW's transfer credit assessment information.

Class selection dates

July 13-26, 2009 is the time reserved for first-year students to use Quest.
From July 27th on, you may still select classes in the Open Enrollment period. At this time, all UW students will have access to Quest to select classes and make changes to their schedules.
